The Colorado Springs Racing Scene
High-speed kart racing is the closest most of us get to real professional auto racing. With speeds of up to 45 mph, combined with the aerodynamic low profile of the karts, the top speeds of the karts feel much, much faster than that. It's a true adrenaline rush, and that feeling is what drives people back to Overdrive over and over.
But the Colorado Springs racing scene is more than just high-speed electric kart racing. We're proud to be a long-time staple of the racing community here, but we're also proud to be in an area where racing enthusiasts have so many options to experience different facets of racing at such a high level.
This recent video we created in partnership with Pikes Peak International Raceway is a prefect example of how tight this community is, and how much fun we have being a part of it.
Pikes Peak International Raceway
Located in Fountain, just south of the Springs, PPIR is Colorado's premiere venue for cultural music and motorsports. The 1,300 acre property includes a banked, one-mile oval, 1.3 mile road course, and a 1/8-mile drag strip.
While PPIR once hosted NASCAR and other professional racing events, it has since transitioned to a more community-focused venue, which features training courses, drag racing, track springs, drifting, Gymkhana, car shows and a lot more! For years it has been one of the central gathering places for race enthusiasts all around southern Colorado.

All together, the Colorado Springs racing venues mentioned here tie together all of the different race enthusiasts from all ages, ability levels, and different competition skill levels. We're fortunate to live in a beautiful state with so many things to offer, and we are proud to be a staple in the racing community that continues to build year after year.
